Cookie Policy

This page explains what are how cookies used across our website. It also contains information for how you can manage or remove them if you choose to.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small locally stored text files that are designed to hold data specific to a particular client and website, and can be accessed either by the web server or the client computer. They are used by web developers to help users navigate their websites efficiently and perform certain functions.

We use Cookies to perform a variety of functions on this website and they are necessary for the functionality of the tile sample ordering process. We do not use Cookies to monitor behavioural patterns or to display any form of targeted advertising or banners.

We also use cookies for Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a web analytics tool that helps website owners understand how visitors engage with their website. Google Analytics customers can view a variety of reports about how visitors interact with their website so that they can improve it.

Like many services, Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to track visitor interactions as in our case, where they are used to collect information about how visitors use our site. We then use the information to compile reports and to help us improve our site.

Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. These cookies are used to store information, such as the time that the current visit occurred, whether the visitor has been to the site before and what site referred the visitor to the web page.

Google Analytics collects information anonymously. It reports website trends without identifying individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics without affecting how you visit our site – for more information on opting out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites you use, visit this Google page.

How do we use cookies?

We use cookies in a number of different ways:

1. Anonymous Analytical Cookies

The analytical cookies that we use store anonymous information about which pages people visit, how long they are on the site, how they got there and what they click on. Information supplied by these cookies help us to analyse the profile of our visitors, make sure our websites are meeting your needs and how we could provide you with an improved experience. Anonymous analytical cookies do not collect or store your personal information, so this information cannot be used to identify you.

2. Tile Sample Request

Cookies are used here to store your tile sample selections.

How to manage cookies

If your browser preferences allow it, most websites will send cookies to your computer or mobile phone. However, you can change these settings. How you do this varies with each browser, though more often than not it will be through the ‘Options’ or ‘Preferences’ tab. For the best possible experience of the Support Hub and our websites, we recommend you leave cookies on.

Session Cookies

Session cookies, also known as transient cookies, are temporary. They don’t have an expiration date attached and only store information about what the user does during a single session. A session is simply a randomly generated/unique value that is assigned when someone visits a website. Session cookies are stored temporarily in memory and are automatically removed when the browser closes or the session ends.

Website

Login Cookies

Login cookies contain authentication details and are used when you log into our Support Hub. After login, a cookie is set to indicate when you’re logged in and who you are. When access our Support Hub, a check is done to see if the cookies above exist and haven’t expired. This is what allows you to bypass the login screen. The website also sets a user ID cookie that stores personal your personal interface settings.

LiveChat, Inc.

Instant Messaging Cookies

Functional cookies are required to enable the instant messaging service on our Support Hub. Here, cookies are used to store the personal data you share in the chat, including your name and message contents. Cookies are also required to load the chat button and define its behavior.

Google Analytics

Site usage statistics cookies

We use Google Analytics cookies to help us understand how our visitors engage with our websites and services. Google Analytics cookies collect information and report site usage statistics without personally identifying individual visitors to Google. ‘_ga’, the main cookie used by Google Analytics, enables a service to distinguish one visitor from another and lasts for 2 years. Any site that implements Google Analytics, including Google services, uses the ‘_ga’ cookie. Each ‘_ga’ cookie is unique to the specific property, so it cannot be used to track a given user or browser across unrelated websites.

In order to enjoy the best possible experience of our websites we recommend that you leave your cookies settings as they are.

It’s easy to see and clear cookies on a website. To see what cookies are set on a specific site, browse to that site and click on the little padlock icon at the top. Then click on “Cookies.”

Then drill down to that website’s folder. You can see a list of cookies that have been set. You can also see the expires time and whether it is a persistent cookie or session cookie (when the browsing session ends).

To remove a cookie, simply click on an individual cookie and click the “Remove” button. You can also do this at the folder level or in Chrome DevTools.
